SAINT VIATOR HIGH SCHOOL
Theatre Teacher, Producing Director, & Fine Arts Department Chair

When most theaters shut down in 2020, Megan was been blessed to return to her love of teaching, working at Saint Viator High School in Arlington Heights as the Theatre Teacher and Producing Director for the past 5 years. In her first season, Megan directed two outdoor, socially-distanced, and fully masked productions: Alice Austen's Girls in the Boat and Stephen Sondheim's classic musical, Into the Woods. When summer rolled around, for the first time ever, Saint Viator offered a middle school theatre summer camp under Megan's direction. The school is now on their 5th installment of this summer camp - so far Megan has directed Seussical Jr, High School Musical 2 Jr, Finding Nemo Jr, Willy Wonka Jr., & Shrek Jr. is coming up this summer! In her first year of teaching, Megan also proposed a new class called Theatre Outreach where students produce and perform in a traveling youth musical. So far, these advanced acting students have performed Miss Nelson is Missing! The Musical, Junie B. Jones The Musical, A Year with Frog & Toad, & Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! for free throughout their community. Other shows Megan has directed at Saint Viator include Pippin, Noises Off, Peter and the Starcatcher, Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, Clue, Little Shop of Horrors, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Drowsy Chaperone, & Almost, Maine.
